New member of the VEGDOG herd

We at VEGDOG are very proud to be able to contribute to helping animals in need through our work. Founder Tessa has dreamed since childhood of being able to give animals a life worth living and appropriate to their species, and she is able to fulfill this dream piece by piece with her company.

There are now 22 rescued sheep living in a herd on spacious meadows by Lake Ammersee, where they are lovingly cared for and allowed to enjoy their lives. Brand new to the VEGDOG herd: Pepsi the pony!

The discarded former fairground pony was passed around, carted about, and exploited his entire life. A happy pony life looks different!

Pepsi suffered in silence. He had to endure hellish torment for years, and no one saw him or listened to him. When Pepsi came to us, he could barely eat, his skin was infested with parasites, and a series of veterinary treatments began. Due to his poor past living conditions, the pony suffers from equine asthma, a chronic lung disease.

Thanks to life-saving dental treatments, Pepsi can eat again and enjoy his life with our sheep and another pony. And simply be a pony!

But we want to help even more animals! With your purchase, you can join us in supporting Lebenshof Hohenwart, where over 100 animals, including cattle, pigs, sheep, roosters, pigeons, cats, and dogs, can lead a life where they are treated with respect and love.

Petra, the founder and chairperson of the association Lebenshof Hohenwart e.V., was able to fulfill a lifelong dream with the farm. Just like VEGDOG founder Tessa, she has pursued the vision of wanting to help animals in need since her youth.

Now, she gives former so-called livestock and animals from poor conditions a home appropriate to their species where they are not used for production.

On her farm in the Bavarian Alpine foothills near the Lech, Petra and her husband manage the animal stalls and over 24 hectares of land, which serve as pastures and for feed production. For winter, another stall section is to be created and an open-air stable added to optimize the pig run.

Support Lebenshof Hohenwart e.V. with your purchase now. Because no matter what you buy: we will donate 10% of total sales to Lebenshof Hohenwart e.V. to support their important work.*
