With our simple recipe, you can whip up delicious Christmas cookies for your four-legged friend in no time. But before you put on your apron and start baking, it's time to go shopping. For about 15 cookies, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 50 g carrots
  • 1⁄2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 - 3 tbsp oil (e.g., rapeseed oil)
  • 1 - 2 tbsp water
  • Optional: 1 - 2 tbsp applesauce
  • Optional: some oat flour, rice flour, or corn flour for rolling out
  • Topping:
  • 20 g cooked broccoli
  • max. 50 g sweet potatoes
  • 1 - 2 tbsp potato starch
  • Pops as desired
  • Cookie cutters

Baking dog biscuits yourself: It's that easy!

As soon as you have all the ingredients on hand, you can get started. We will now show you step by step how to bake these festive dog biscuits yourself:

  1. Grind the oats coarsely: First, the oats are ground – this works best with a blender or food processor.
  2. Chop the carrots: Next, it's the carrots' turn: You can either grate them finely or cut them into small pieces.
  3. Add yeast flakes, rapeseed oil, and water: Now add the yeast flakes, rapeseed oil, and water. Mix everything together well until a smooth dough is formed.
  4. Add apple puree: If the dough is too dry, you can add a little apple puree to make it smoother.
  5. Knead and roll out the dough: Knead the dough thoroughly and roll it out on a floured surface. Use oat, rice, or corn flour so that nothing sticks to the surface or the rolling pin.
  6. Cut out the biscuits: Now it’s time to get creative: Use Christmas cookie cutters to cut out the biscuits and then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Baking: Bake in the oven at 120 degrees Celsius (fan oven) for approx. 20 minutes.
  8. Prepare the glaze: Steam the broccoli and sweet potato, puree them, and mix with a little potato starch to create a thick glaze.
  9. Decorate the biscuits: Brush the cooled dog biscuits with the glaze and decorate as desired with our Pops or other treats.

Our festive dog biscuits are ready to sweeten the holiday season for your four-legged friend!
