IT'S NOT JUST WHAT'S INSIDE THAT COUNTS – OUR PACKAGING PUT TO THE TEST
It is well known that our products contain high-quality, healthy, and tasty recipes. But what about the packaging? We have looked closely at our packaging and made conscious decisions for each type. Sustainability and quality assurance are the deciding criteria here.

We offer ourwet foodin tin cans. We chose this packaging because its magnetic properties ensure it hasgood recyclability. This allows machines to filter them out of the waste and return them to the recycling loop. Furthermore, theweightof the tin can is an advantage: compared to glass, it is significantly lighter and therefore generates less CO2 during transport. Another argument against glass is the quartz sand required, as its extraction involves significant intervention in nature. It is important that you dispose of the empty tin can in theyellow binafter use to facilitate recycling.

As an absolute innovation, we have recently added another ADULT recipe in a Tetra Pak to our range. The Tetra Pak saves 91% CO2 compared to conventional packaging. This is mainly due to its practical shape and low weight. As a result, the Tetra Pak can be transported very efficiently. Furthermore, the Tetra Pak consists of 70% renewable raw materials (FSC-certified) and can be over 75% recycled, provided it is disposed of in the yellow bin. Inside it, the empty, folded Tetra Pak takes up practically no space. This makes the Tetra Pak 5x better ecologically than tinplate and glass.
The Tetra Pak not only ensures a green pawprint, it is also very easy to handle: it is easy to open and can be closed again without a lid or similar. In addition, there is virtually no risk of injury.

We are very proud to have found a way to package ourdry foodin a paper bag. The high fat content posed a challenge in this regard. Four layers of paper are necessary to ensure the high quality of our food and prevent grease from seeping through. Once the bag is empty, you can dispose of it in thepaper recycling bin.

We now package our snacks in a plastic bag. For our snacks, it was essential to choose packaging that is airtight. This is intended to guarantee a longer shelf life and protect them from drying out. We deliberately opted for pure plastic packaging here. Many manufacturers even use composite packaging for snacks, which initially gives the appearance of being more sustainable. However, due to the combination of several materials, they are difficult or even impossible to recycle. If you dispose of our empty snack packaging in the yellow recycling bin, they are 100% recyclable! By the way, using recycled plastic can save about 80% in CO2 emissions.

Our oil blendVISH OILis packaged in a glass bottle. Once it is empty, please dispose of thecap in the yellow binand take thebottle to the glass recycling container.

Currently, we still offer our ALL-IN-VELUXE mineral powder in a composite can. In the long term, our goal is to switch to purely plastic packaging for this product as well. However, since it is very important to ensure that the mineral powder is packed airtight and light-proof, we are still researching the optimal solution. Minerals and vitamins are very sensitive, and ultimately, our quality standards are our top priority.
However, we have increased the content of the can, thereby improving the carbon footprint.

As you have surely gathered, it is not only crucial that we as a manufacturer consciously choose the right packaging. It is just as important to dispose of the packaging correctly after use so that it can be returned to the recycling cycle as efficiently as possible. And this is where you come in: on our products, we indicate how the packaging must be correctly disposed of after use. Because waste is more than just waste! Behind it are still resources that need to be used as effectively as possible. Let's do this together!
We will continue to search for packaging for our products that harmonizes sustainability and quality assurance. To this end, we question existing concepts and develop and test innovations like our Tetra Pak.
By the way, a great alternative to disposal is upcycling. You can also make all sorts of great things from our empty packaging. Take a look at our YouTube channel and get inspired!
